Interaction Program with Netherlands Consul General for Nepal
Mr.C.F.de Stoppelaar, Consul General of Nepal to the Netherlands, in a talk program in FNCCI, on May,4, 2008, urged to the business people to lobby with the concerned to frame flexible labour law and investment friendly policy to attract foreign direct investment and state of art technology in the country. He shared his experience of being an investor from the Netherlands and the challenges and opportunities where Nepal can attract FDI. He also informed the participants about the Government of the Netherlands sponsored grant program to the entrepreneurs of developing world like Nepal and suggested to benefit from the PSOM: Program for Cooperation with Emerging Markets. Mr. Pradip Jung Pandey, Vice President, chaired the program and informed the gathering about suggestions initiated by FNCCI to the government of Nepal and to the political parties to reform labour, industrial, commercial and export policies in order to attract FDI and technology transfer.
