Mr. Suraj Vaidya, President of FNCCI on invitation of Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) President Amb. Benedicto V. Yujuico, left for Taiwan on 11 October 2011 to participate in the CACCI Summit Meeting, being held on October 13-14, 2011 in Taipei. CACCI is celebrating its 45th Anniversary during the summit. CACCI is the confederation of 27 federations of chambers of commerce and indutry of Asia-Pacific region that includes the membership of Russia, Turkey, Australia among other members.
CACCI is organizing this year's Summit in Taipei to review its role and direction in light of the new realities in the regional and global market environment.
During the summit thoughts on how CACCI should redefine its role as a regional organization to ensure that it continues to promote the interest of its members and the region's business community as a whole, will be shared among its members.
During the Summit, FNCCI President Mr. Vaidya will deliver presentation on "Nepal as suitable destination for CACCI Conference", and will promote Nepal as an attractive tourism and investment destination.
If Nepal is selected as the venue for 2012 CACCI conference, it is expected to boost Nepal's inbound foreign direct investment, and promote Nepal as an attractive tourism and investment destination.
FNCCI hosted the CACCI Presidential visit delegation to Nepal on September 5-7, 2011.
During the CACCI Summit in Taipei, FNCCI is bidding to host the CACCI Conference in 2010. Nepal being situated in a favorable place in South Asia, and has hosted successfully the 4th South Asian Business leaders' Conclave (4th SBLC) on September 20-22, 2011 during which more than 250 business leaders from South Asia participated. Is confident that the FNCCI with support and cooperation from Government of Nepal, can host the CACCI Conference 2012 fruitfully and with more success.
Past President of FNCCI Mr. Pradeep Kumar Shrestha, who is also the Executive Committee Member of CACCI President's Ad Hoc Committee, is also in the CACCI Summit in Taipei.
